I had a goal of reaching 100,000 points by August 7th which was my 5 month anniversary here on Activerain. The problem was that I was about 15,000 points shy 10 days earlier. So, to reach this goal, I had some serious work to do. I wrote my max 10 posts/week and even a few extra. I left over 400 comments on others posts. But still I was almost 8,000 shy. So, the only way to reach this goal was to start inviting others.
Welcome Window of Opportunity!
On weekly sales meeting for the 3 offices my BIC is over in the company. At this meeting he gave me the opportunity to briefly talk about blogging on Activerain. He then asked me to email him info that he would distribute to all our agents because the interest was rather high. So, I of course sent them a referral link to Activerain and then I was able to sit back and watch in amazement!
Within 3 days time 20 of people had used the invitation to join. Not all were in the sales meeting though. I am constantly sharing with others about AR and how it has benefitted my business. One of the places I shared this was with my local Insurance Company. They were very interested and wanted to get involved. So, 3 of the insurance agents joined instantly. Then, while discussing my upcoming closing with the attorneys office, AR came up again. So, I emailed the link and 4 of them joined as well. Finally, I called my loan processor at Coldwell Banker mortgage to ask about the loan about the closing I was handling. I shared about AR again and he instantly joined! All together, over 8,000 were accrued in less than 3 days time.
One thing that helped these people to join was not only the successes I shared and how they can envision their own successes from joining. But, I also promised to write about them in a post welcoming them to Activerain and giving them some immediate great exposure to the network and also to the web.
