Gated Homes In Myrtle Beach

Myrtle Beach Gated CommunitiesMany looking to move to Myrtle Beach like to have the security and safety of living in a gated home in Myrtle Beach.  There are some of the oceanfront homes along the Golden Mile that have their own private gated entrance, but most people can’t afford those homes.  Instead, today I want to focus on some of the various gated home communities in Myrtle Beach

There are several different neighborhoods that come to mind.  The first gated home community to come to mind is the Grande Dunes.  These homes sit along the Intracoastal Waterway and have a Mediterranean flare to them.  The next community that comes to mind is located in the Carolina Forest area and is called Black Creek Plantation & features wonderful homes with large lots.  Most lots in this neighborhood are a minimum of at least 1-5 acres.

There is also then the Intracoastal Waterway communities that are all gated.  You have Waterway Palms Plantation, The Bluffs On The Waterway, The Battery On The Waterway, Carolina Waterway Plantation, Cypress River Plantation.

So why a gated community in Myrtle Beach?  Well, one of the most obvious reasons is for the extra level of security it provides for you and your family.  The threat of non-residents showing up at your home goes away.  You can sleep at night knowing that there is a security gate keeping unwanted activity out of your neighborhood.

I remember when I recently listed a home for sale in a gated community that I could not even get back to my listing without the homeowner calling the guard gate and giving me permission to visit.  Because of this level of security, it makes many interested in living in gated communities here in Myrtle Beach.
