How to remove foul smells from a drain quickly & safely

Last night when I came home from celebrating a birthday, I noticed our sink drain was starting to get a funny smell. So, I grabbed the baking soda & vinegar to fix it. Right as I was about to begin, my wife asked, "Why don't you do a video about it for your blog?" I was stunned I had not thought of it!

So, if you ever have a drain that has a bad smell, watch this brief video to learn how to clean it out and deodorize your sink quickly, safely, and easily.

There are many other ways to clean your sink, but I think this way is one of the most fun and very safe. With toxicity becoming a more and more prevalant concerns, this is a completely non-toxic way to clean your drain. Here is the recipe I use:

3-4 Tablespoons Baking Soda
2 Cups Distilled Vinegar
2-3 Cups Hot Water

My Night Eating Wings- Wild Wing Cafe in North Myrtle Beach, SC at Barefoot Landing

Wild Wing Cafe

On Tuesday evening my wife and I planned to enjoy dinner out.  We had been planning for the past few weeks to visit Wild Wing Cafe at Barefoot Landing in North Myrtle Beach.  The reason we wanted to visit there on Tuesday evening is that every Tuesday, they have Two For Tuesday wings.  That means if you order either 8 or 12 wings you get an additional 8 or 12 free.

So in the rain, we headed on our journey.  Living in The Farm at Carolina Forest which is so centrally located in Myrtle Beach, makes getting to Barefoot Landing, Broadway at the Beach, or anywhere else a breeze.

Once arriving, I dropped my wife off at the door with the baby and headed on my journey to find a parking space.  Because of the rainy weather, everyone was out shopping, dining and enjoying Barefoot Landing.  I finally found a space, parked and began my walk to the restaurant.  I was taking my time because it was just after 7PM and I figured the restaurant would be packed and expected a wait of 30 minutes to an hour.  But, to my surprise, my phone rang.  My wife called to inform me she had got us a booth and was ordering our drinks awhile.

Our meal began with an order of Big Fat Fries.  Quite the tasty appetizer.  It was a mound of of fresh cut potato wedges smothered in cheese which arrived at our table in less than 5 minutes.

After devouring the fries, our wings then arrived. I had the Honey Mustard Wings & Ranchilada Wings pictured on the leftThe picture on the right is of my wife's wings, The Boss & The Slayer.Jeremy's Wings

What made our evening out so wonderful was the exceptional service we experienced.  The servers were always on top of things.  Our glasses never were more than 1/3 empty.  When we needed something it was delivered quickly and with a smile.  Even bussing our table as we finished was done quickly.  It was great to see the teamwork taking place.  Servers who were not our own would come and fill our glasses and take the dishes if they saw a need.

Price was another great part of our meal.  For the both of us with appetizer the total cost was $25.00 including tip.  Not bad for two meals, an appetizer and great leftovers for the next day.

Since my degree is in Restaurant/Hotel Management, I am extremely critical on restaurants when I go out to eat.  I find myself constantly critiquing restaurants by habit.  This was my first time visiting Wild Wing Cafe and will definitely not be my last!  We plan on making Tuesday's at Wild Wing Cafe a regular Occurence.
