Enjoy One on One Blog Training from ActiveRain

Today I am excited to announce some exciting news for our new members on ActiveRain.  I was recently asked by Jon and Bob to assist on our newer members in optimizing their blog so that it will show up in the top of search engines results as well as train them on how all the various features of ActiveRain work.

Introducing One on One Blog Training

Starting today, new members can schedule a one on one blog training session with me.  One of the biggest fears that new members face is writing that first initial blog post.  Many are afraid that what they write will not be good enough or that they will mess things up by writing a bad post.  Beginners end up scaring themselves from ever actually writing that first initial post and end up never realizing the benefits of ActiveRain. Trust me when I say, I can relate.  I was so nervous when I started here and my first few posts were terrible.  (If you don't believe me, read my second post on ActiveRain, it was the worst I have ever written!) But, as I continued on, things changed and the success stories started to pile up for me just like many of our other members.

Overcoming The Fear to Blog

That is where I come in.  As a member of the network for over a year and a half and also the author of over 500 posts, I have learned how to write effective blogs. The past 6 months have been spent writing step by step tutorials on how all of the different features of ActiveRain work and how to use them to enhance your blog.  You can see those posts on my outside blog. During that time, I have learned first hand the many  features of The ActiveRain Network.

What Will I Learn in Our One to One Training Session?

During your One on One Training session we will cover:

How to Optimize Your ActiveRain Profile.
How to Insert Photos into your Blog
How to Insert Hyperlinks.
Setting up Your Outside Blog.
How to write effective blog posts for consumers & search engines.
How to use your blog to connect with your community.
Topics to write about on your blog.

Each session will last anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour.  If you are a new member that has not started your blogging career because you have not been sure where to start, this course is for you!  Or, if you have been blogging for a while as a free member, this is an excellent opportunity to try out all the great features of ActiveRain as well as get some excellent training on how to maximize your blogging efforts.

Because ActiveRain feels so strongly in the power of the network, they are offering a special promotional rate for non-rainmakers to sign up as a rainmaker for the first month for only $5.00.  In addition to that $5.00, you will also receive the training session from me.

******ATTENTION RAINMAKERS*****

I Just Talked to Steven about the Webinars he is hosting for our members that are already Rainmakers and this is what he said the classes cover:

Hi Al, I don't believe I received any messages from you?  My phone has been acting goofy the past few days.  What can I help you with?

Posted by Jeremy Blanton (210 Consulting~ Social Media Advisors) 10 months ago

Jeremy, we are still confused on what to put in the "tag" section and also when posting pictures.  Do we say "here's a pretty picture" or are we putting something that Google will pick up on.

Jane & Judy- While the training I am doing is for non rainmakers, there is some really great training that you can be a part of.  You can see the schedule here.

Posted by Jeremy Blanton (210 Consulting~ Social Media Advisors) 10 months ago

Thank you, Jeremy.  Is there a description on what is covered in these webinars?

Posted by Jane Peters Los Angeles Living, Los Angeles Homes (Penn Properties) 10 months ago

Hi Jeremy.  I'm sort of in an "in-between" stage.  I have over 80 blog posts - but still only in AR since Aug. 2.  Am I too old for this?

Posted by Rick Pelleriti-MBA (Ascent Home Loans) 10 months ago

Very cool Jeremy !  I wish that were here when I first started- I was overwhelmed and did exactly what you said! I didn't dare to start.   Although there are some things I think I could still benefit on that list of what you would cover!

Posted by Tami Vroma-Realtor Grand Rapids Rapids Homes for Sale (West Michigan Real Estate Specialist-Five Star Real Estate) 10 months ago

Jeremy, what a great idea! And I have really loved reading your posts btw. I won't even go back and read my first few posts, LOL. I was scared, I was so overwhelmed at the amount of knowledge here in the rain, worried that I couldn't hold a candle to them. Slowly I found my voice, made my "friends" who encouraged me to keep posting and got my google milk flowing freely.

Activerain deserves a big gold star for this idea!

Now is there a class to cure the "I don't have a post left inside of me" disease? I need one bad.

Posted by Andrea Swiedler - REALTOR - Greater New Milford CT, Litchfield County & More (Prudential Adams & Associates, REALTORS, New Milford CT) 10 months ago

Rick- sign up for some of the webinars on the link I mentioned above.  They will be some first class training sessions to really help you!

Andrea- whenever I run out of ideas for posts, that is when I take off to reading what others have written.  I will normally withing 10 minutes of reading come across something that sparks an idea for a post, or see something that someone has written that would be beneficial to my area as well and so I write a good localism post on that idea.

Posted by Jeremy Blanton (210 Consulting~ Social Media Advisors) 10 months ago

This should really keep you busy man. I am sure there are many that quit because they don't know what they are doing.

Posted by Bill Gassett Metrowest Massachusetts Real Estate (RE/MAX Executive Realty) 10 months ago

Great support and training, Jeremy. It's tough getting started and I still have questions and not always so sure I'm really doing things right or utilizing the potential. I'll check out your schedule.

Thank-you, great information. I am also going to try one of the webinars next week . Did not know they were available until I read your blog.

Posted by Dina Caffrey (Century 21 Sherlock Homes) 10 months ago

Hi, Jeremy:

I just took at look at that schedule and I have the same question as Jane, is there a description of what will be covered in these webinars?  Are they for beginners as well.  You know that I am looking for a more advanced class.  Is that available yet?

Thanks so much.

Jeremy - Sounds like a great idea.  I liked your part about looking back at your old posts - I had just written a little bit about that over on AgentGenius (and wound up writing a post here based on that and your post - "The Brand Challenge At AgentGenius - A Way To Learn From Your Past Blogs").  Hope you get a great response from this.

Jeremy, I still need help with the basica, like widjets and the boxes a lot of people have on the side of their blog, and the cool backgrounds. If the webinar is 10 Pacific what is that in the Central time zone? And will you record it for later download and replay?

Jeremy,

Wonderful way to formalize the help many of us DID receive in different ways when we first became RainMakers. May this training and the $5 1st month promotion result in you having NO free time! Between this and the recent Ambassador launch, our newer newbies will be posting success stories extra quickly.

If you have anyone still on the fence, Jeremy, just tell them to call me!

Jeremy, this one-on-one sessions are helpful to new active rain makers. How ever how about me ?

I know how to insert hyperlinks, pictures , ordered lists, un ordered lists, images with hyperlinks etc , but since I'm a trilingual, I can talk everything that is on my mind very effectively in my language, but can not put everything in writing in English (perfectly or correctly I should say ) and people might not get what eactly I wanted to say.

It looks like blogging is not for people like me I guess ? I do not agree that , but what do you AR people say ?

Have a nice weekend.

Jeremy - I actually printed your post out and walked it down the hall to Donna Sugden - a new AR member in my office. She should be calling you!

Jeremy, I just stumbled on this one, and what a wonderful idea!  Even a lot of the more experienced bloggers could use coaching on some aspect.  Anyway, great work.

Jeremy- Next up is my assistant, Jana Orear (she's also my Mother). She's been reblogging but she needs to get blogging for herself! And I simply don't have the time to teach her. I have sent her the link to your post, but if you have a chance, if you could send her a shout out it would probably get her off the fence. Lord knows I'm paying for her blog at $29 per month so I want her to be productive!

Posted by Christianne Gordon, REALTOR® e-PRO CDPE SFR Carson Valley Real Estate Specialist (Carson Valley Homes and Land - RE/MAX Realty Affiliates) 9 months ago

Jeremy:  I have had several blogs out...you're right it's taken me years to ... start.  How do I add a comical character or a delapitdated old house for instance...I think they're called widgets...don't know where to get them from.

How do I get more responses than I usually get....one or two...that's it.

Once a blog is written, I don't know what checks to check....thanks, an "oldie but goodies", debra
