Have We Hit the Bottom with Condos?

Over the past few weeks I have seen that the number of people looking for condos has begun to increase.  However nobody is purchasing.  How many have either thought or heard this?  "I don't think the market has his bottom yet, so I want to wait."  This is becoming something I am hearing on an almost daily basis here of late.  But, what nobody is thinking of is that while prices may go down another few thousand dollars, as interest rates continue to go up, they are going to pay more to save some.  Below is a great article I found the other day that was posted in realty times.  To view the full article & video follow this link:  http://realtytimes.com/rtpages/20080305_condotrends.htm

Finally!  A breath of fresh air in regards to Real Estate! Someone who finally is saying Buy NOW.  Not, wait till 2009, or later.

Personally, I love this "bottom" talk.  Unfortunately what this type of reference is misleading owners and buyers to believe is that there will be a "bouncing back" to double-digit appreciation in short periods of time again and 2005-like volume of sales.  The overall economic factors do not show that historic scenario happening again anytime soon.  Is it the right time for some to buy?  Quite frankly, it's the right time always for anyone to buy.  The key factors being educated and negotiating the best deal.  But just my opinion.
