What happened to the Heat?

While the past few weeks we have been able to enjoy wonderful weather of temperatures in the mid 70's here in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, between last night and this evening, we have experienced some serious changes.  Last night when I came home it was over 70 degrees.  The temperature when I awoke this morning was a frigid 29!

Luckily, one of the major benefits of living in the south is that these type of cold temperatures normally do not last.  After checking the local weather, it appears that the cold times will be gone by Christmas Day with the temperatures going back up in the mid 70's.

I love living in the south!

We are going to have the temps go down into the single digits tonight.  The winds has been terrible.  When we go to the house in NC, it is the same kind of thing, cold one day and then you get a nice warm break from it.  Love that.  Wish we had it here in MD!!  Maybe you could get a tan for Christmas!!

Jer - When I first read your title, I thought this was a post about the Miami Heat.

Jeremy we had similar swings from 77 degrees to 19 degrees. Wow, one can get very confused.

Jer it's been so cold here I find any excuse to consolidate my outside activities to one trip. Worst of all has been the wind. It was so windy my kids were coming in my room scared! :)

Living in South Carolina means the weather should always be warm.  It implies it in the name.  But yes, we are fortunate to live in this area where the weather does go crazy once in awhile but we are not buried in snow three months out of the year.  I am heading up to visit family in Pa for New Year's and am slightly afraid of freezing!

You are getting closer to Denver temperatures. Currently 19 degrees. Then again you may not get snow :) it's supposed to start snowing here in a few hrs. Bbbrrrrrrrrr. ~Rita

Jeremy - it was in the teens here yesterday morning and the low 20's this morning. We will be heading there. Myrtle Beach, next week for a few days, hope to get some golf in, as well as relaxing.
