There are some of the oceanfront homes along the Golden Mile that have their own private gated entrance, but most people can’t afford those homes. Instead, today I want to focus on some of the various gated home communities in Myrtle Beach
There are several different neighborhoods that come to mind. The first gated home community to come to mind is the Grande Dunes. These homes sit along the Intracoastal Waterway and have a Mediterranean flare to them. The next community that comes to mind is located in the Carolina Forest area and is called Black Creek Plantation & features wonderful homes with large lots. Most lots in this neighborhood are a minimum of at least 1-5 acres.
There is also then the Intracoastal Waterway communities that are all gated. You have Waterway Palms Plantation, The Bluffs On The Waterway, The Battery On The Waterway, Carolina Waterway Plantation, Cypress River Plantation.
Of Course, if waterway living isn’t your thing, maybe you would much rather live in a gated community on a golf course. If that is your preference, I would recommend checking out Prestwick. Many homes in here feature amazing views of the Prestwick Country Club.

The threat of non-residents showing up at your home goes away. You can sleep at night knowing that there is a security gate keeping unwanted activity out of your neighborhood.
