Myrtle Beach Skywheel- A Time-lapse

When the Myrtle Beach Skywheel opened in May of 2011, nobody realized how iconic of a landmark it would become to the skyline of Myrtle Beach.  The skywheel which stands at 187 feet tall is the second largest wheel in the country and has quickly become one of the most popular attractions in Myrtle Beach and photo spot for visitors to the beach.  At night the colorful LED lights decorate the sky.

The wheel contains 42 enclosed gondolas and rides normally last 8-10 minutes as the wheel makes three full revolutions.  While you are up in the sky you can see miles of the beautiful landscape along the coast.  Tickets are $9.00 for children ages 3-11 & $13 for those 12 and up.
